((Name)) Xavier Archibald Jordan
((Nicknames)) X, Archie, Jordan, and if you can think of any other way to make a nickname out of Xavier Archibald Jordan, go for it, but X is definitely the standard.
((Birthday)) Good question September 13, 1957
((Wand Hand)) Right
((Wand)) Yew, 13", Dragon heartstring core.
((Alumni)) The only house worth mentioning. ...That'd be Gryffindor, by the way.

((Partial History)) The first half of the Jordan children were born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. His father had, at one point in time, tried to get his foot in the door of politics, but had found the turbulent civil rights movement taking place in the 50's and 60's in South Africa to be a tough topic. It was his test as a politician, to see if he had the grits to make it in a troubled country's government. He failed, and shortly after a violent encounter he had during the 156 day "state of emergency" declared in 1960, the family returned to Eastbourne.  Mordecai Jordan might have been able to make a difference on his own, but he had no intention of subjecting his growing family to the prejudice ever-present in South Africa. And, so, upon returning to England, Mordecai used prior military experience as qualifications to find work as a security guard, and, later, a police officer. His wife, in the meantime, found steady -- albeit, not very high-paying -- work as a teacher.
The Jordans' home was a loud, chaotic place, but it was a warm place. With so many kids rather close in age, the seven years they all lived together were insane. Then again, it can be said, the fact that only two of the nine were girls can also be seen as a blessing, as no one ever even considered messing with them. As far as everyone was concerned, the Jordans were a lower middle class family from Africa, with nine boys, and a cop for a dad. It didn't matter to them that Mordecai Jordan was an Englishman by birth; he had been a black political figure in South Africa in the 1950s. They knew not to mess with him, or his family.

((Mother)) Genevieve (Langley) Jordan (Muggle)
((Father)) Mordecai Jordan (Muggle)
((Siblings)) X is just one of nine kids, and he is the only one with even a hint of magic. Older siblings: Algernon (31), Christine (29), and Jesse (27); younger siblings: Edmund (23), Jeremiah (22), Violet (20), and Dean (20) (Dean and Violet are fraternal twins). He also has another brother, Aaron. He and Aaron are Irish twins, in that they are less than a year apart. Unfortunately, due to the fact that there were so many children in the family, and none of the kids born in South Africa were actually born in a hospital (his parents' idea of sticking to a principle), no one is entirely sure who is older. As such, they chose arbitrary dates for their birthdays, and decided who was older.

((Relationship)) The Jordans were a close, informal, and surprisingly traditional family. With nine kids, it was hard work for the parents to keep them all safe and sound, and give them the attention necessary, but the kids were all very close. Each sibling took care of the one directly behind them in age, while the twins (of both Irish and fraternal varieties) simply watched out for each other. In the years they lived in South Africa, Mordecai and Genevieve didn't let the children leave the house much, and so the older kids grew very close. Their mother didn't work, their father was out of the house quite a bit, crusading for what seemed a lost cause, and Algy, Christine, Jesse, Aaron and Xavier were cooped up in a way that can drive a young kid out of their head.
In his earlier years, Xavier and his father didn't spend much time together. An activist politician doesn't tend to be a top notch dad, and, apparently, a security guard struggling to make ends meet doesn't either. Xavier never really suffered from his father's seeming absence, though. He never grew angry at him or blamed him for anything because he wasn't there all the time. Instead, he admired him for working so hard, and was thankful for having him. He still never became very close with his father, and the only one of the kids who seemed to have any sort of a relationship with him was Algy, the oldest one.
The children born in South Africa (their place of birth seemed to be a separating factor in the family, as if the five born in South Africa were somehow from a different family or parent than the four born in England) were very close with their mother. Genevieve took meticulous care of them all, made sure they were safe, and they admired her. She was the perfect housewife, and, as a former teacher, was adept at handling large groups of children. A family of five, or even nine, kids was nothing to her.

((Personality)) Xavier is an outlandish, outgoing, charismatic, reckless, hilarious, attention whore with horrid luck. He was incredibly excited to learn he was the only one in his family with magical abilities, as it made him unique. Being the middle child (most likely) of nine kids, attention is hard to come by, and going to a school for magic (and mayhem) made him special, and got him that attention.
Nobody at Hogwarts really cared that he, unlike his eight brothers and sisters and his parents, could do magic, though. There were plenty of other kids with non-magical families. They didn't care much that he'd been born in the politically troubled country of South Africa, as he'd moved when he was three or four. What they did care about was that he was funny. They cared that he was a riot at Quidditch games, where he'd played just one year before he broke his arm in such a way that rendered him no longer able to play, and instead resorted to taking bets and commentating. They cared that he was insane, he was sneaky, and he was clever -- Xavier might have been a fool, but he was nobody's fool.
But Xavier was a very unique boy as well. One of his unique traits? He gave people nicknames. It began when he simply did not know the name of some people, and referred to them, instead, as "Library Girl" or "Duck Boy", but it soon evolved. It became a way of talking about others behind their backs for some, and simply an amusement for others. His nicknames became notorious, people asked for nicknames, and...hell, it was his odd, inadvertent way of becoming a lower-level celebrity in Hogwarts. Unfortunately, he could not give everyone a nickname on demand. Nicknames just happened, they didn't always make sense -- such as the boy called "The Ghetto", or the girl known as "Blue Girl" -- and a sort of language with him and his friends started to develop. It was really rather...well, unique.
Xavier also has horrible luck, especially with his jobs. As of yet, he's held down jobs as a liquor store clerk, busboy, janitor, dog walker, nursery salesman, and painter, and he has also tried his hand at freelance photography and writing, acting and singing -- anything to make a buck. However, he has also been shot, nearly stabbed, received concussions from slipping in inconveniently placed puddles, dragged three blocks by antisocial dogs, attacked by bees, fallen off ladders, punched, stalked, and electrocuted, all as a result of his jobs. However, he was lucky enough to garner some attention as the host of a show called Talk Sex With X on the WWN, and, despite whatever problems he might have, he's been able to keep that one job for long enough.

((Fears)) Losing Lee, earthquakes, bees, electrocution, dogs, heights, guns, and anything sharp. Most of those, however, aren't paralysing fears, and have only started effecting him in the last few years. He does fear bears, though. But, I mean, come on. That's just logical. Bears are scary.
((Habits)) He chews on things, pulls his short dreadlocks back with his hand when thinking, cracks his knuckles, taps his feet, hums songs under his breath almost constantly, and drums on hard surfaces.
((Mental Health)) He's fairly stable; at least more stable than Lee's mother. He used to use drugs, but he never really got into anything hard, and, since his son's birth, has even quit smoking pot. He's still a completely reckless and outgoing guy, without an ounce of common sense, and, come on, how can anybody who goes around giving people senseless nicknames be completely sane?

((Appearance)) 01|02|03

((Romantic Status)) Divorced.
((Partner)) No one at the moment. For all he cares, with Lane, his ex-wife (with whom he has a five-year-old son) out of the picture entirely, he's free and doesn't need to make that same mistake twice.
((Sexual Preference)) Straight.
((Turn Ons)) Outgoing, sense of humour, sense of adventure, will let him be somewhat in charge, and wouldn't mind the fact that he has a son.
((Turn Offs)) No sense of humour, buck teeth, instability.

((Disclaimer)) Don't own, don't own, don't own. Wish I did. All that good jazz. But the icons are mine, the take on the character is mine, and his entire family, aside from Lee, is mine. DUNSTEALBITCHEZ.
((Mun)) Alex
((PB)) Harold Perrineau, Jr.
((Font)) James Fajardo
